UK Day Outings, April & June (Andrew Smith)

Following consultation with members two outings have been arranged

The Spring Safari 2012 (Les Best)

If the Safari goes ahead it will be later than usual because the PROBUS holiday is later finishing on the 24th May. Last year the Safari was not well supported and I was in two minds as whether I should organise it again this year. Consequently planning has not yet started and I cannot announce any details.

I had in mind going to the New Forest for perhaps two nights instead of three. Today, however, Derek Smith sent me details of a possible venue and walks on the Norfolk Path. This looks very interesting I should like to thank him for the hard work that went into his proposal.

Now I have two choices I shall have to make a decision and come up with a definite itinerary so please keep an eye open for future notices or phone me.

Annual Probus Golf Competition 2012 (Alan Radcliffe)

Following the sad and untimely death of Mark Hodder-Williams, Alan Radcliffe has kindly agreed to assume the role of Organiser of the Club's Annual Golf Competition.

Entry forms for the 2012 completion will be available at the Monday and Thursday lunches for February and March. Members wishing to enter are invited to use these forms, or contact the Organiser (Alan Radcliffe) by phone or by e-mail.

Applications for Membership (Alan Stewart)

Completed membership applications for consideration at the next quarterly Committee Meeting should reach the Membership Secretary, Alan Stewart, by 7th May 2012. Application forms, and copies of a leaflet for prospective members, are available from any of the Lunch Secretaries or from the Membership Secretary, or may be downloaded here (pdf file)
